Investigating The Effect of Attitudes on Learners’ Intercultural Awareness Development

چکیده
This article aims at investigating intercultural awareness development among Moroccan high school learners. It focuses on the central role of ‘attitudes’ component in helping learners get involved successful encounters. The study adopts Byram’s (1997) communicative competence (ICC) as an influential model that has brought education to forefront teaching-learning process. Research reveals concept native speaker ideal is no more valid. Instead, targeting speakers who can interact with other breakdowns should receive a primary goal. Developing learners’ become essential success encounters interlocutors belonging different cultures. employed mixed-method design. Both qualitative and quantitative research methods, form questionnaire program evaluation, were used gather information.
